Great Lakes Area Fiber Happenings 2008

Here are some fiber related events where you can find us, or that are happening in the Great Lakes Area. To have your fiber event added, please send us an email with description of your special event and we'll add it to the list.

Fiber Arts Festival, located at Castle Farms, near Charlevoix, Michigan, July 25-26. Demos, vendors, and fiber art fashion show. See what Northwest Lower Michigan artisans and farmers do. Located on restored dairy farm constructed to look like a medieval castle's buildings.

Michigan Fiber Festival, Allegan, Michigan. August 12 - 16. A great way to get a taste of the fiber community at large. Great workshops, lots of shopping opportunities, animal shows, etc.

Mount Bruce Station Sheep & Wool Festival, September 26 & 27, Romeo, Michigan. Entertainment for the whole family on a working farm. Superb way to introduce the kids to the old crafts and show them where their food and clothes really come from. Lots for the rest of the family, too. Vendors, classes, demonstrations, great food.

The friendliest little fiber festival around, the Northern Michigan Lamb & Wool Festival, can be found at the Ogemaw County Fairgrounds, September 26 & 27. Workshops, vendors, sheep shearing class, vendors, sheep shearing school, vendors, guild displays/demos, vendors, Super Silly Spinning Challenge, and may we add, vendors? Great for the whole family! No admission or parking fees!
