0201 Dye Play DaySaturday, July 19, 10 am - 4 pm, one seesion We provide the playground and all dyes, tools, and equipment. You provide the wool (or mohair, alpaca, or other protein fiber) in the form of yarn or roving. We'll discuss colors, how they work together, and how acid dyes work. Please wear old clothes. 0202 Natural Dye DaySaturday, July 19, 9 am - 5 pm, one session Take to the fields on the farm and learn how to dye with the plants around you. Learn about mordants, gather plants, and prepare them for the dyepot. Enjoy a day in the country with a Master Gardener and professional plant person. All supplies included. You will leave with samples of many different dyes and mordants - at least 20 different colors. Shelly Buckman, $110 class fee, no materials fee |
